Laibach-Let It Be (1988)

Laibach has become known for their martial industrial takes on popular music, such as Queen and Opus. But here, they push their politically-charged covers to a new level, by covering the entire Beatles "Let It Be" album (notably, leaving the title track out). Here, they have taken the originals (just happy-go-lucky pop songs recorded almost as an afterthought at the end of The Beatles' career), and turning them into sinister, politically ambiguous, charged industrial pieces, in the typical, militaristic Laibach fashion. Highly recommended. Mute Records.
